I write this letter to inform you that I will still continue to lease your apartment. The lease contract that I have right now indicates that my contract will end on the 24th of this month.
Though my college years have ended already, I still want to lease your apartment for the reason that I want to work in your locality and I am very contented with my stay in your apartment.
With regards to this matter, please do advise me the soonest if I can still lease your apartment so that I can relax my mind of looking for another apartment if I can’t get a new lease contract from you.

This letter is a lease extension letter which I hope you shall look upon with favor and kindness. I wish to extend out apartment lease, which shall be terminating on the 3rd of June 2011, for a period of one year. All my dues have been cleared and as you are aware, I have never defaulted on monthly rental payments, or all associated payments that were expected of me. I wish that you would consider extending the date of termination of the apartment lease [number 54754] from 3rd June 2011 to 2nd June 2011.
The reason I wish for the extension is that, having been denied permission to be transferred to New Jersey until next year, I find myself having to contemplate living in the city for another year. With the excellent facilities you have offered me, and the respect I have for you, I hope that you will allow this profitable relationship to continue for the remaining period of my stay in New York.

Extension of Lease
EXTENSION AGREEMENT made by and between _ (Landlord), and
_ (Tenant), relative to a certain lease agreement for premises
known as _, and dated _, 20_ (Lease).
For good consideration, Landlord and Tenant each agree to
extend the term of said Lease for a period of (_) years
commencing on _, 20_ and terminating on _, 20_, with no
further right to renewal or extension beyond said termination
date.
During extended term, Tenant shall pay rent of $_ per
annum, payable $_ per month in advance, in lieu of the rent
