The personal data of thousands of owners of Honda and Acura vehicles were stolen during the hijacking Canadian website of the automaker. In a notice published online, says Honda Canada customer names, addresses, vehicle identification numbers and account numbers of financial services to Honda was stolen.
The company cautions that, contrary to the dates of birth, credit card numbers and bank account numbers, the data involved are usually not used for identity theft or fraud.
