How to Better Manage Time to Avoid Stress

Time management is an important issue for many people. They are so busy in their daily lives that they do not realize the importance of knowing how to manage time effectively. We put things aside voluntarily because it knows we will not have time to do them. It’s really a last resort because usually we try to cram most things in our planning.

Unfortunately, this habit can cause additional stress. This is why you need to schedule time to relax a little in order to stimulate the next day.

If you want to live without stress, it is important that you learn to prioritize and effectively manage your time.
Here are tips to learn how to manage your time effectively:

Make an inventory

Prior to winning and better manage your time, it is already put on paper all the activities of your day. If possible, include the time required for these activities.

Normally, you have indicated at least these activities:

  • Rest
  • Work
  • Moving
  • Meals
  • Legislation
  • Go (doctor, friend, etc.).

Detailing your activities and by the time required to achieve them, you will perhaps aware of your weaknesses but also your strengths.

To understand, consider an example

  • Bad example. The person puts his alarm clock for 7:00 bu generally gets 15 minutes later. Once in the kitchen, she has to wash a bowl and prepare breakfast since she hasn’t done it last night after dinner so it will take 10 minutes to get things cleaned.
  • Good example. The person sets his alarm for 6 am 55. She gets up at 7 am. Once it arrives in the kitchen, everything is ready, the bowl, glass, spoon, etc is clean. She can start cooking right away.

In this simple example, this person can earn at least 20 minutes every morning.

Step back on your habits and see if at some point of your day you lose time.

Develop an action plan

Learn to organize your time by having a plan of action. Buy a planner or diary for writing all your week’s activities.

For efficiency, these activities should be ranked in order of importance. Then try to estimate the time required to complete each task.

Once you have programmed your activities for the coming week, you can start planning your activities for the coming weeks. Of course, there’s a good chance that you can not do what was expected. Suffice it to postpone the remaining tasks early in the week and adjust, if necessary, your schedule accordingly. With experience, this should happen very rarely.

Develop an action plan saves you time. The tasks in your day will be clear and ensure you avoid overloading you.
